Top hat, bow tie, white gloves, laced boots, satin cape, pleated skirt, double-breasted jacket or with tails, tuxedo shirt, sequins, short shorts, petticoats: it is in the poetry of majorettes that Virginie Viard draws the imagination of her Spring-Summer 2023 Haute Couture collection.

Around a larger-than-life white camellia awash with cinematic images featuring actress and House ambassador Nana Komatsu by Inez & Vinoodh, the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2023/24 Ready-to-Wear show took place in the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris. The collection imagined by Virginie Viard is afloat with an asymmetrical silhouette in movement, a feminine-masculine spirit traversed by camellia motifs, an eternal code of CHANEL.

Evoking the Californian way of life, rhinestone-covered mini-shorts and jumpsuits, embroidered bustiers and little tank tops bring colour and vitality to the collection imagined by Virginie Viard.

25 июн. 2024 г. Sophisticated and theatrical, the Fall-Winter 2024/25 Haute Couture collection presented by the Fashion Creation Studio mingles the worlds of the opera and of CHANEL Haute Couture. Richly embroidered, the collection imbues the House codes with a romantic twist.
For the show, playwright, writer and director Christophe Honoré imagined a mise en scène in the corridors of the Palais Garnier, offering a renewed way to experience the opera.

The 2024 Met Gala will celebrate the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” and the official dress code is “The Garden of Time.” The exhibit will feature approximately 250 rare items drawn from the Costume Institute’s permanent collection. Spanning over 400 years of fashion history, the pieces will include designs by Schiaparelli, Dior, Givenchy, and more. Some garments that are too fragile to ever be worn again—such as a Charles Frederick Worth ball gown from 1877—will also be displayed via video animation, light projection, AI, CGI, and other forms of sensory stimulation.
